GRACE LUTHERAN EVENING CIRCLE

Grace Lutheran LWML Evening Circle met on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, with eight members and Pastor Lilienkamp present. President Bea Kinslow opened the meeting with Bonnie Sandahl reading “Letting God’s Will Be Done.”
Lanora Sorensen read the minutes of the May 13 meeting. The minutes were approved. Lee Larsen gave the treasury report. The report was filed for audit.
An invitation to guest day at St. Paul’s, Winside was received.
Valores Mordhorst sent several cards. Lee Larsen reported on a new supply of greeting cards.
Mary Lou Erxelben and Lanora Sorensen reported on the Nebraska North LWML Biennial Convention held in Norfolk, NE. The next Nebraska LWML Biennial Convention will be held in Omaha, in June 2010. The National LWML Convention will be held in Portland, OR on June 25-28, 2009.
Pastor Lilienkamp reported on the Lutheran For Life Bike Ride. The ride will start with a potluck at 7:00 pm., July 13, 2008, at Grace, Wayne. Marilyn Rethwisch made a motion to give a donation to the Lutherans For Life Bike Ride. Also a donation will be made to Rev. Terry & Janet Borchard of Lutheran Bible Translators.
The next meeting will be September 9, 2008. Valores Mordhorst will be hostess. The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer. Mites for Missions were collected.
Pastor Lilienkamp and Bea Kinslow had the LWML Quarterly Lesson, “Does the Bible Really Say That?” Bea Kinslow was hostess.
